Danielle has over 15 years of experience leading, developing and operationalizing sustainability and corporate responsibility programs for global, consumer products companies, in the apparel and accessories, personal care, home goods, and retail sectors. She is also Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, where she teaches Circular Economy for Sustainability Professionals as part of the Sustainability Management master’s program in The Climate School.

Demonstrating nimbleness and creativity, Danielle works with companies at all stages of maturity, from start-ups to Fortune 500s, to embed sustainability and corporate responsibility into their business strategies. Danielle has experience driving every facet of a company’s sustainability transformation. With a keen eye on leveraging sustainability to drive growth and deeper consumer connections, she is adept at partnering with organizations towards achieving results.

Danielle Jezienicki has spent over 10 years in sustainability and ESG evaluation, implementation and measurement in both investment and corporate operations. With a background in operations and investment - she specializes in impact implementation. She has expertise in consumer products, supply chain, packaging, circularity and materials.

Danielle was most recently the Vice President of Sustainability for Grove Collaborative, the world’s first plastic-neutral retailer. As Grove's first Head of Sustainability, Danielle built the sustainability program and the industry's first plastic intensity metric (recognized for leadership in reporting on plastic use) and all measurement, managing all ESG disclosures through the company's IPO in June of 2022 as well as its move away from single-use plastic and towards Net Zero by 2030. Prior to Grove, Danielle was the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSI) where she supervised ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives for the Company and its West Coast brands including the Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma brands. Prior to her brand experience, she worked at impact investment firm, Sonen Capital, as an Impact Analyst responsible for evaluating impact across asset classes and impact themes. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Management at Presidio Graduate School and BA (honors) in Political Science from Brown University.

Nicolas de Alejo (He/Him/Él)

Nicolas de Alejo has spent the last 16+ years evaluating and quantifying various externalities and how they impact global financial markets and individual companies. His past experiences span investment management and investment banking across advisory, impact investing, and fixed income sectors with a particular focus on decarbonization and circular economy. He has extensive experience evaluating, structuring, and executing various financial and risk solutions for both corporates and individual project developers and believes a flexible capital model to be an attainable outcome to finance the transition. 

He was most recently Head of Sustainability Investment Banking and Co-Head of Infrastructure & Project Finance at EF Hutton where he launched the sustainability practice and advised global clients in general corporate finance, M&A, capital raising, rating agency advisory, project/asset-based financing and ESG/Sustainability. Nicolas spent the majority of his career on the buyside at BlackRock as a portfolio manager and OCIO member through the initial transformative years of ESG and sustainable finance. Outside of work, Nicolas dedicates his time to education and climate focused impact programs.

Joel Hartter (He/Him)

Joel is a sustainability business strategist and an international expert in sustainability, with 20+ of experience. He has worked with dozens of organizations and industry leaders to embed sustainability within brands to align sustainability towards strategic growth opportunities, manage and mitigate risk, and create a compelling business proposition for sustainability. Joel brings his extensive knowledge, experience and network to every engagement, providing strategic guidance on sustainability and ESG goals for startups to Fortune 500 companies, local, state, and federal government, higher education, and non-profits each year.

Joel takes his practice into the classroom, the boardrooms, and corporate offices, where he is committed to educating the next generation of sustainability leaders. He is passionate about helping business turn intentions into actions and accelerate sustainable business. Joel is a Professor of Sustainability at the University of Colorado and educates thousands of students and business leaders on sustainability/ESG, sustainable business, and circular economy strategy, implementation, and practices.

Ashley Allen (She/Her)

Ashley Allen is a climate change champion with nearly 20 years of climate change and sustainability leadership, in both the private and public sectors, including seven years in the food and beverage sector and 10 years in international diplomacy. Most recently, Ashley served as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Oatly where she built an industry-leading, purpose-driven Global Sustainability Department and designed and set a global corporate sustainability strategy, including a science-aligned, full value chain climate target. She modernized and upgraded Oatly’s ESG portfolio and disclosures and helped the company navigate a successful IPO in 2021. She has extensive experience engaging in all stages along companies’ full value chains and has championed innovative and collaborative global sustainability strategies and solutions throughout her career with several organizations, including Mars, Inc., the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and White House Council on Environmental Quality. She is a skilled and seasoned public speaker, facilitator, coach and influencer. Ashley is currently the Founder and President of CSO Copilot, LLC.
